This course builds on Core Java to cover JDBC database connectivity, modern Java features like Streams and Lambdas, and building real REST APIs using Spring and Spring Boot - the framework powering most enterprise Java applications.

• Write modern Java using Streams, Lambda expressions, and functional interfaces
• Understand Generics and Reflection

• Build REST APIs using Spring and Spring Boot

• Query and update databases from Java applications
• Write concise, modern Java code using Streams and Lambdas
• Build and structure a Spring Boot application
• Expose and consume REST APIs

Spring and Spring Boot are the dominant frameworks in enterprise Java development, used extensively for backend and microservice development at companies of every size.

Sessions build a working Spring Boot application incrementally, module by module, ending in a deployable REST API.

• Connect a Java console app to a MySQL database using JDBC
• Refactor loop-based code using Streams and Lambdas
• Build a basic REST controller with Spring Boot

• A REST API for a simple product catalog
• A Spring Boot service connected to a database with full CRUD endpoints

• Core Java (or equivalent experience) is required

Weekday evening batches and Saturday-Sunday weekend batches are both available; exact timings are confirmed at enrollment.

A Certificate of Completion is issued after finishing all modules and the capstone project.
